背 景 GUN, genomes uncoupled, is necessary for coupling the expression of some nuclear genes to the functional state of the chloroplast. GUN4 regulates chlorophyll synthesis and plastid-to-nucleus signal transduction by binding both the product and the substrate of Mg-chelatase, an enzyme that produces magnesium-protoporphyrin IX (Mg-Proto). |
