背 景 UXS1 encodes a Golgi localized isoform of UDP-glucuronic acid decarboxylase. This enzyme produces UDP-xylose, which is a substrate for many cell wall carbohydrates including hemicellulose and pectin. UDP-xylose is also known to feedback regulate several cell wall biosynthetic enzymes. |
