背 景

OASA1 encodes a cytosolic isoform of cytosolic O-acetylserine(thiol)lyase, a key enzyme in cysteine biosynthesis and for the fixation of inorganic sulfide. It catalyzes the formation of cysteine from O-acetylserine and inorganic sulfide.
